| Independent TÜVs (Technical Inspection Association) were founded in the
1870s by the German steam boiler industry. The original TÜV association in Bavaria
, was founded for
more than 130 years ago, had 43 industry members and employed just two
safety inspectors. With advancements in technology, its presence and
capabilities quickly expanded. These inspection services further expanded
into the transportation and motor vehicle industries, and later to the
nuclear energy industry. TÜV association’s activities and name became
synonymous with public safety, quality and environmental protection. In
1997, TÜV Süddeutschland Holding AG was formed, and became the largest of
the "TÜVs". Today, TÜV Süddeutschland Holding AG provides expertise in
more than 70 service areas and employs over 9,000 professionals worldwide.
With 110 offices in Germany
and 30 locations around the globe, TÜV Süddeutschland Holding AG offers
its customers localized services on a global scale. TÜV Süd is in many
ways regarded as the norm for industrial safety in Europe

| After extensive consultation with TÜV Product Service GmbH, the TÜV
Mark for "winter traction aid" was awarded on July 20, 2001. To safeguard
the interests of AutoSock, a highly sophisticated test program was
devised. With the development of this test mark, we succeeded in obtaining
a quality label which, owing to its stringent requirements, satisfies both
the requirements of end users, i.e. a high utility value and the
requirements of AutoSock. So far, no other producers of traction aid made
of fabrics have been approved by TÜV. |
